Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and role (business or marketer).
• Business and profile information — company details, industry, goals, and anything you add to your workspace or profile.
• Content you create — posts, campaigns, media, messages, and other materials you author or upload in DMB-One.
• Usage and device data — pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location, collected automatically to keep the product working and secure.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.
• Communications — messages you send us for support, and your responses to product or transactional emails.

DMB-One lets you connect external accounts — such as Google (including YouTube, Google Analytics, and Search Console), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and X — so the platform can publish content and show analytics on your behalf. You connect these accounts through each provider’s own secure OAuth consent screen; we never see or store your password for those services.

When you connect an account, we access only the data covered by the permissions (scopes) you approve, which may include:

• Your public profile and account identifiers on that platform (e.g. page or channel name and handle).
• The pages, profiles, or channels you manage and choose to link.
• Content and posts you publish through DMB-One, and the status of those posts.
• Aggregated performance metrics and insights (reach, engagement, followers, impressions) for accounts you connect.

We use this data solely to provide the features you request — scheduling and publishing, analytics dashboards, and growth recommendations. Access tokens are stored encrypted, are used only for the connected account’s owner, and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the account in DMB-One or in the provider’s own settings. When you disconnect, we stop accessing that platform and delete the associated tokens.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve DMB-One and its features.
• Publish content and retrieve analytics from accounts you connect, at your direction.
• Match businesses with suitable marketing experts and enable those engagements.
• Send you transactional messages, product updates, and support responses.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use data obtained from connected platform APIs for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers or for any purpose unrelated to the features you use.

DigitalMarketingBees’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice, this means we only request the minimum Google scopes needed for the features you enable, use Google user data solely to provide or improve those user-facing features, do not transfer or sell it, and never use it for advertising or human review except as expressly permitted by that policy.

DMB-One uses YouTube API Services to show you statistics for a YouTube channel you connect and, if you choose, to upload videos to that channel for you. By connecting YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

DMB-One asks for two YouTube permissions, each only when you turn on the feature that needs it:

• View your YouTube account (youtube.readonly) — when you connect YouTube, so we can list your channels and show your channel’s statistics.
• Upload videos (youtube.upload) — only if you turn on uploads, so DMB-One can publish the videos you create in DMB-One to your channel.

With these permissions we:

• List the YouTube channels on your Google Account so you can pick one, and store the ID and name of the channel you pick.
• Read that channel’s subscriber count, total views, and number of videos when you open your YouTube data. These statistics are fetched from YouTube each time and are not stored.
• Upload a video only when you publish it or at the time you schedule, with the title, description, and visibility (public, unlisted, or private) you choose. DMB-One cannot edit or delete your existing videos, post comments, or change your channel settings.
• Keep the video file you upload in DMB-One’s secure storage only until it has been sent to YouTube, and delete it within 30 days after it is published, or sooner when you delete the post.
• Store the ID, link, and upload status of videos you publish through DMB-One so you can see them in your post history.

We re-check the YouTube data we store with YouTube at least every 30 days, and delete it if we can no longer confirm your permission. We use this data only to provide these features to you inside your DMB-One workspace. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, and no third party serves content or ads in DMB-One using YouTube data. How DMB-One uses cookies is described in the Cookies section below.

You can remove DMB-One’s access at any time. Disconnect YouTube, or your whole Google Account, in DMB-One, and we delete the YouTube data we store about you within 7 days. You can also revoke access on the Google security settings page; DMB-One then immediately loses access to your YouTube account, and we delete the YouTube data we store about you within 30 days. When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account, our use of Meta Platform Data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We access Platform Data only to provide the publishing and analytics features you request, retain it only as long as needed for those features, never sell it, and delete it when you disconnect the account or request deletion.

You can remove DMB-One’s access at any time from your Facebook or Instagram app settings, and you can request deletion of the data we hold via our Data Deletion instructions.

For LinkedIn, X, and any other integration, we access and use data strictly in accordance with that platform’s API terms and developer policies, limited to the scopes you approve and the features you use. As with all connections, you can revoke access at any time, after which we stop accessing the platform and delete the stored tokens.

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers (sub-processors) — trusted vendors who host our infrastructure, process payments, send email, or provide analytics, each bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Matched marketers and businesses — when you are matched, relevant profile information is shared between the two parties to enable the engagement. You control what appears in your profile.
• Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy and applicable law.

We never sell your personal data, and we never share data from connected platform APIs except as needed to run the feature you requested.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Data derived from a connected platform is retained only while that connection is active and the feature is in use. If you disconnect an account, we delete the related tokens and derived data promptly. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless we are legally required to keep certain records (for example, financial or tax records) for longer.

You can disconnect any linked account at any time from the Connections page in DMB-One, or delete your entire account from Settings. For step-by-step instructions and what gets removed, see our Data Deletion page. You may also email privacy@digitalmarketingbees.com and we will action your request.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and make the platform work, and, with your consent, functional, analytics and advertising cookies. Advertising is a separate choice from analytics, and both are off until you turn them on. You can change your mind at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer. We show ads from Google AdSense on our public blog to help pay for the writing. We do not show ads inside the DMB-One product, and nothing you do in your workspace — your business data, your connected accounts, or anything we receive from Google or Meta APIs — is ever used to target an ad.

Ads load only if you accept advertising cookies. If you reject them, or simply never answer the banner, Google’s ad code is not loaded at all, no ad request is made, and no advertising cookie is set by us or by Google.

If you do accept advertising cookies:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our blog and may use them to show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks Google works with may also serve ads on our blog and use their own cookies.
• We receive only aggregate reporting from Google — how many times ads were shown and clicked. We never receive your identity from advertising.

You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at any time in Google Ads Settings, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google’s partner-sites notice, and opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, encrypted OAuth token storage, access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a priority. Learn more on our Security page.

DMB-One is operated from India, and your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data ("right to erasure"), subject to legal exceptions.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity (India DPDP).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@digitalmarketingbees.com. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within 30 days).

DMB-One is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or with an in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
